Your Physique Goals and Hormonal Symptoms

No matter how common your hormonal symptoms are, they are not normal, but they are impacting your physique goals (like your ability to lose weight and get toned).  Let me explain!

Is this you?

You want to lose a little bit of weight and get that toned look.

You’re following a diet. You hit your calories and macros most days. You watch what you eat.  You don’t do a ton of processed foods.  Sure, you have an adult beverage once in a while, but not enough to impact your progress.

You are also following a workout plan. You lift heavy. You do your cardio. You take your rest days.

But, despite all your efforts to lose weight and get toned, nothing seems to be budging. You’ve been following the same plan for a little while and are starting to wonder if it’s the plan not working or if it’s you that’s broken.


If that sounds familiar, let me also ask if this also sounds familiar?

You sometimes struggle to fall asleep and oftentimes find yourself staring at your ceiling in the middle of the night, wishing for sleep to come.

You drag yourself out of bed in the morning, after hitting snooze a few times too many.  You love your coffee and people know not to talk to you until you’ve had at least your first cup in the morning.

After lunch, you feel like you need another coffee or a treat to keep going – but if you could, you would honestly take a nap for a couple hours because you’re dragging.

You struggle with bloating.  Sometimes it’s after meals, but sometimes it randomly happens.  It’s painful and makes wearing pants uncomfortable.  It feels like everyone is always looking at your midsection when you’re bloated and you hate it.

You get embarrassing acne before your period that you thought would end when you left the teen years behind.

And your period is unpredictable and horrendous.  You get cramps that take you out for a couple days, you fear leaving the house because it’s so heavy, and, oh, the mood swings.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, these are all hormonal symptoms. And yes, they may be common, but they are not normal.

And those symptoms are the exact reason you’re struggling to lose weight and get toned, despite all your hard work to do so.

Even with the perfect plan to change your physique, if you have hormonal symptoms like those above, it will be much more difficult to change your composition, and then keep those results long term. Ultimately, you will be in the same cycle of fighting tooth and nail to lose weight, just to put it back on when you’re not dieting.

You may not want to hear this, but it will be the best thing for you, your physique, and your hormones in the long run…

Stop trying to change your physique until you have your hormonal symptoms mostly reversed and managed.

By doing this, you will have primed your body to let her know she’s safe.  Making it much easier for you to lose weight, get toned, and feel amazing in your skin.
